Meet Your Doctor
Eric K. Newberry
Eric K. Newberry, O.D. was born and raised in southern Oklahoma. He attended Abilene Christian University before receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oklahoma State University in 1993. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University in 1997, and subsequently completed a residency in Advanced Diagnosis and Treatment of Ocular Disease in 1998.
Dr. Newberry practiced in Tulsa, OK for 5 years in a primary surgical practice that emphasized medical, surgical, and laser eye care. He then opened Newberry Vision Center in McKinney, TX in 2003. Over the next 20 plus years, Newberry Vision Center grew to become one of the most successful Optometric practices in the North Texas area. In 2024, Dr. Newberry purchased one the longest tenured practices in the Texoma region, Nielting Optical, and is looking forward to using his 27 years of eye care experience to serve the community of Denison, TX and the surrounding area.
Dr. Newberry has been married to his wife Jennifer, who is a Pottsboro, TX native, for over 25 years and they have three children. Dr. Newberry enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, and watching and/or participating in all things related to sports.
